The Barnkickers: Bio

Amanda Boisen - vocals, ukulele, guitar & clarinet

As a distinguished high school musician, Amanda served as president of her school's award-winning marching band and was the recipient of the Larry Watson Leadership Award for two consecutive years. She was also a frequent participant in all-county honor band and served as first chair clarinetist. She has performed at Disney World in Orlando, Florida and has been a featured guest on WSLR’s "Women Matters" radio program. Amanda is also an accomplished singer/guitarist and a prolific writer of both music and prose. She is currently attending college under a music scholarship.

Steve Boisen - vocals, bass, ukulele & guitar

Steve is a versatile musician who studied at Boston’s Berklee College of Music under scholarship. He has performed and recorded with many noted jazz artists and has appeared at major music venues and festivals. He currently works in a variety of musical settings as a freelance bassist and also runs the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society. “The Barnkickers” allows him to explore his abilities as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist as well as share his love of music with his daughter Amanda.
